Black Morels can be placed in cold, salted water overnight to re-hydrate. If you are in a rush, you can boil them for 15-20 minutes. Due to the wild nature of these mushrooms, be mindful of sediments and rinse carefully.
Black Morels can be used as soup stock, risotto, a side dish to steak when pan-fried in butter, or in any other of your favourite morel recipes. Morels have a rich, meaty texture and are a gourmet mushroom that will impress at any special occasion or gathering.
